The Mazarron coast forms part of the Costa Calida (the warm coast) and is an area not yet discovered by mass tourism. There are numerous sandy beaches, the nearest are at Bolnuevo and Puerto Mazarron. There are mountains all around, some go right out to the coast providing spectacular breathtaking views along the coast line.
The sea is usually around 5º warmer due to the unique 'micro climate' that Mazarron enjoys. Because of this, Sub Aqua diving is possible all year round. The water is usually clear and the depth of visibility in many places is often around 25 - 30 metres
Golf
The golf course is currently under construction, but the nearest is situated at Camposol, which is a
18 hole course and only a 5-minute drive away. There are many other courses within driving distance, the closest being Fuente Alamo, Torre Pacheco and, of course, the famous courses at La Manga, which are to the east. Whilst further down the coast there is Valle de Este Golf Resort, Desert Springs and Marina Golf, Mojacar.
Horseriding
There is an equestrian centre at Camposol 5 minutes drive away.
Eating Out
There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area including an on-site restaurant/bar.
Fast food restaurants are few and far between although for those so minded there is a MacDonalds at Cartegena next to Eroski.
The area is still very Spanish, although you will find some good Chinese, Indian and Italian restaurants in the Port and at Bolneuvo, with prices much cheaper than in the UK.
